Irish Wish is a formulaic romantic fantasy that leans heavily on well-worn wish-fulfillment tropes and a predictable love triangle resolution. The Irish scenery provides some visual charm, lifting cinematography slightly above average, and Lindsay Lohan delivers a serviceable performance that keeps the film watchable. However, the plot follows a by-the-numbers structure with few surprises, the ending is telegraphed well in advance, and the fantasy conceit adds little genuine novelty to the genre beyond its picturesque setting.
