This time around, Chucky and his homicidal honey, Tiffany, are brought back to life by their orphan offspring, Glen. Then the horror goes Hollywood as Chucky unleashes his own brand of murderous mayhem!
Seed of Chucky leans hard into self-aware meta-horror comedy, which gives it some novelty points for its Hollywood satire and gender-identity subplot involving Glen/Glenda. However, the plot is thin and largely an excuse for gags and gore, the acting ranges from campy to flat (Jennifer Tilly playing herself is a highlight but the rest is uneven), cinematography is functional at best, and the ending feels rushed and unearned. It's a divisive entry that trades scares for laughs with mixed results.
