A gang of ruthless highway killers kidnap a wealthy couple traveling cross country only to shockingly discover that things are not what they seem.
No One Lives is a mid-tier slasher/thriller that benefits from a clever early twist — flipping the predator-prey dynamic in a genuinely surprising way — but struggles to sustain that momentum. The plot starts promisingly with its role-reversal hook but devolves into fairly routine cat-and-mouse carnage. Acting is serviceable at best; Luke Evans brings cold menace but the supporting cast is largely underdeveloped. Cinematography is competent with some stylish kills and moody lighting that elevates the material slightly above its budget. The film's novelty lies in its central conceit and willingness to subvert genre expectations early on, though it ultimately settles into familiar territory. The ending is underwhelming, resolving without much dramatic payoff or originality.
