When her mother sends her on a quest to complete a teenage bucket list, a young woman uncovers family secrets, finds romance — and rediscovers herself.
The Life List follows a familiar bucket-list redemption arc with family-secret and romance subplots that feel well-trodden in the genre. Acting and plot execution are serviceable and warm enough to land near its modest reputation, but the cinematography is functional rather than distinctive, and the premise offers little that hasn't been seen in similar coming-of-self films. The ending wraps things up in a satisfying if predictable fashion.
