When straight arrow FBI agent Roy Clayton heads up the investigation into a dangerous international conspiracy, all clues seem to lead back to former U.S. Special Operations officer Samir Horn.

The Quartile Take

Traitor is a solid, thoughtful post-9/11 thriller elevated by Don Cheadle's nuanced central performance as a devout Muslim operative navigating deep-cover moral ambiguity. The plot handles faith and identity with more seriousness than the genre typically allows, though it follows a fairly conventional undercover-agent structure with predictable twists. Cinematography is competent and location-varied but unremarkable. The ending resolves things adequately without leaving a lasting impression. Cheadle's acting is the clear standout, bringing genuine depth to a role that could have been routine.
