An ex-cop and his family are the target of an evil force that is using mirrors as a gateway into their home.
Mirrors is a passable American remake of the Korean horror film Into the Mirror, but it struggles to distinguish itself. The plot relies on familiar haunted-object horror tropes and becomes increasingly convoluted toward the climax without satisfying payoff. Kiefer Sutherland brings committed energy to the lead role, elevating scenes that might otherwise feel flat, though supporting performances are uneven. Cinematography makes decent use of reflective surfaces and shadow to build atmosphere, with some genuinely unsettling visual moments. As a remake, novelty is inherently limited — the core concept is borrowed and the execution adds little new to the haunted-mirror subgenre. The ending attempts a twist but lands as more confusing than clever, undermining what tension the film built.
