Leroy & Stitch (2006)

Quartile rating: 6.5/10 · 1 rating

Lilo, Stitch, Jumba, and Pleakley have finally caught all of Jumba's genetic experiments and found the one true place where each of them belongs. Stitch, Jumba and Pleakley are offered positions in the Galactic Alliance, turning them down so they can stay on Earth with Lilo, but Lilo realizes her alien friends have places where they belong – and it's finally time to say "aloha".

The Quartile Take

Leroy & Stitch is a serviceable but formulaic conclusion to the Lilo & Stitch franchise. The plot retreads familiar themes of belonging and family without adding much new depth, and the villain Leroy is a straightforward evil-clone concept lacking the charm of the original experiments. Voice acting maintains the warmth of the series but the TV-movie budget shows in the animation quality. The ending wraps things up with a big musical battle that feels fun but convenient, giving closure to the series without being particularly memorable. Novelty is low as it largely recycles the franchise's established formula.
