Wer takes an interesting found-footage/procedural approach to the werewolf myth, grounding it in a pseudo-medical explanation (porphyria) that gives it a fresh, grounded feel. The plot is competent and the legal thriller framing adds some novelty to a well-worn genre, but the film struggles with pacing and the found-footage aesthetic feels inconsistent rather than purposeful. Acting is serviceable without being memorable, and the ending devolves into fairly standard creature-feature chaos that undercuts the more intriguing investigative setup.
