Unjustly accused of staging a spooky practical joke complete with ghosts, Daphne, Velma, Fred and Shaggy are suspended from Coolsville High. To clear their names, they team up to solve the supernatural mystery…and head straight into nonstop laughs and adventure.
A made-for-TV origin story that hits familiar Scooby-Doo beats without much distinction. The plot is a serviceable retread of the classic mystery formula transposed to a high school setting, offering little surprise. Acting from the young cast is passable but uneven, and the live-action/CGI Scooby blend is competent but unremarkable for its era. Novelty is limited — while an origin story framing provides a mild hook, it largely recycles the franchise's well-worn tropes. The ending resolves predictably in classic unmasking fashion. Solidly mediocre across the board, appropriate for its target family audience but not distinguished in any meaningful way.
