College friends find their weekend of sex and debauchery ruined when deadly zombie beavers swarm their riverside cabin.
Zombeavers is an unabashedly silly creature-comedy horror that earns modest marks across the board. The plot is pure cabin-in-the-woods formula dressed up in an absurd beaver-zombie conceit — functional but paper-thin. Acting is serviceable B-movie fare; nobody embarrasses themselves but nobody shines. Cinematography is competent low-budget work, nothing memorable. Where the film finds its footing is Novelty: the specific premise of zombie beavers is genuinely ridiculous and the film commits to its dumb joke with enough self-aware glee to feel somewhat distinctive in the crowded horror-comedy space. The ending wraps things up in perfunctory genre fashion without much payoff.
