When five sorority girls inadvertently cause the murder of one of their sisters in a prank gone wrong, they agree to keep the matter to themselves and never speak of it again, so they can get on with their lives. This proves easier said than done, when after graduation a mysterious killer goes after the five of them and anyone who knows their secret.
Sorority Row is a competent but largely forgettable slasher remake that hits familiar genre beats without much invention. The plot is a standard slashers-with-a-secret setup borrowed from I Know What You Did Last Summer and the 1983 original, offering little surprise in its mechanics. Acting is serviceable but mostly one-dimensional, with the cast playing types rather than characters. Cinematography is a modest bright spot, with some polished glossy production values that give it a sleeker look than typical low-budget horror fare. Novelty is low — it's a remake of a derivative subgenre entry, recycling well-worn tropes without a distinctive voice or fresh angle. The ending is telegraphed and unsatisfying, failing to deliver a memorable final twist or payoff.
