The bonds between Naomi and Ely are tested when they fall for the same guy.
Naomi and Ely's No Kiss List is a lighthearted LGBT YA adaptation that brings some charm through its New York City setting and queer-inclusive perspective, but struggles with a thin, predictable plot and uneven performances. The cinematography captures New York with reasonable energy, giving the film some visual personality. Its bisexual and gay themes offered a degree of freshness for mainstream YA romance in 2015, earning modest novelty points. However, the central conflict feels underdeveloped and the resolution arrives too neatly without meaningful emotional payoff, resulting in a forgettable ending. The acting is serviceable but rarely rises above the material.
