When he starts dating drop-dead gorgeous Molly, insecure airport security agent Kirk can't believe it. As his friends and family share their doubts about the relationship lasting, Kirk does everything he can to avoid losing Molly forever.
She's Out of My League is a serviceable but largely formulaic romantic comedy built on the well-worn 'average guy lands dream girl' premise. The plot hits every expected beat without surprise, and the Pittsburgh setting adds little visual distinction, resulting in fairly flat cinematography. The ensemble cast, including Jay Baruchel and Alice Eve, brings some genuine charm and chemistry, lifting the acting slightly above the genre norm. The ending delivers the expected feel-good resolution competently but without memorable flair. Novelty is low — the film is essentially a polished iteration of a very familiar template with little to distinguish it beyond its likable leads.
