The ReZort, a post apocalyptic safari, offers paying guests the opportunity to kill zombies in the wake of an outbreak.
The ReZort takes an interesting high-concept premise — a Westworld-style zombie safari resort — but squanders much of its potential with formulaic execution. The plot quickly devolves into predictable survival horror beats once things go wrong, with thin characterization and clichéd story beats. Acting is serviceable but unremarkable across the board, with no standout performances elevating the material. Cinematography is competent but uninspired, typical of mid-budget genre fare. The novelty comes from the fresh premise of a post-apocalyptic zombie theme park, which is genuinely distinctive even if the execution fails to fully capitalize on it. The ending is rushed and unsatisfying, wrapping things up without meaningful payoff for the characters or themes.
