When a young boy accidentally triggers the universe's most lethal hunters' return to Earth, only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and a disgruntled scientist can prevent the end of the human race.
The Predator (2018) struggles across the board. The plot is a messy, tonally inconsistent rehash that never coheres into a satisfying narrative. The acting is serviceable at best — the cast tries gamely but is let down by weak material. Cinematography is generic blockbuster fare with little visual distinction. Novelty is essentially absent: this is a deeply derivative sequel that recycles franchise elements without adding anything meaningful, and the 'upgrade' concept feels half-baked. The ending is particularly poor — rushed, incoherent, and setting up a sequel hook that lands with a thud. One of the weaker entries in the franchise.
