Beauty & the Briefcase is a formulaic romantic comedy TV movie that hits every predictable beat: the undercover premise, the checklist love interest, the inevitable misunderstanding, and the tidy resolution. The plot is derivative and paint-by-numbers, the acting is serviceable but unremarkable, the cinematography is flat and television-standard, and the ending offers no surprises whatsoever. Its novelty is minimal — the 'checklist for the perfect man' conceit has been done many times before. A competent but thoroughly average TV rom-com with no standout qualities in any category.
