The widow of a wise professor stumbles upon one of his inventions that's able to record and play a person's memory.
Rememory presents an intriguing sci-fi premise around memory recording that keeps the mystery engaging, bolstered by a grounded performance from Peter Dinklage. However, the plot meanders in its second act and struggles to fully capitalize on its premise. The cinematography is functional but unremarkable, lacking visual inventiveness that might have elevated the memory-playback sequences. The ending feels underwhelming and somewhat predictable, failing to deliver on the emotional and narrative threads built up earlier. The concept offers some novelty in its grounded, low-tech approach to memory sci-fi, though it treads familiar noir-mystery territory overall.
