A group of students become trapped inside a mysterious cave where they discover time passes differently underground than on the surface.
Time Trap earns a genuine standout in Novelty — its central conceit of radically differential time passage inside a cave is executed with a singular, inventive escalation that few low-budget sci-fi films manage. The plot is lean and surprisingly well-constructed for its premise, building mystery effectively before delivering a wild third act. Acting is the weakest link, with a largely unknown cast delivering serviceable but unremarkable performances. Cinematography is competent given the confined cave setting, making good use of limited space. The ending swings for the fences in an admirably ambitious way, though its execution is slightly rushed given the budget constraints.
