A sleep doctor tries to protect a family from a demon that feeds on people in their nightmares.
Slumber is a generic supernatural horror film that fails to distinguish itself in any meaningful way. The premise of sleep paralysis and nightmare demons has been explored more effectively in numerous prior films. The plot is formulaic and predictable, the acting is competent but unremarkable, the cinematography is serviceable but uninspired, and the ending offers little resolution or impact. There is minimal novelty in conception or execution, making it a largely forgettable entry in the crowded sleep-horror subgenre.
