Stranded at a summer camp when aliens attack the planet, four teens with nothing in common embark on a perilous mission to save the world.
Rim of the World is a formulaic teen adventure that borrows liberally from Stranger Things, Super 8, and countless alien invasion films without adding much of its own. The plot is predictable and riddled with convenience, the young cast delivers uneven performances hampered by weak characterization, and the cinematography is competent but unremarkable Netflix-standard work. The novelty is low as the summer-camp-meets-alien-invasion premise feels entirely derivative, blending familiar tropes without a distinctive voice or fresh execution. The ending resolves tidily but without real emotional payoff. Solidly mediocre across the board.
