A widower suspects that his seemingly perfect adolescent daughter is a heartless killer.
This TV movie remake of the classic 1956 film follows the same premise of a father discovering his daughter is a cold-blooded killer. As a remake it brings little new to the table conceptually, leaning heavily on the original's story beats. The acting is competent for a TV movie, with the young lead delivering a chilling performance, but cinematography is standard TV-movie fare with little visual ambition. The plot is serviceable and the ending maintains the psychological tension that defines the source material, but the overall package is derivative and formulaic compared to its predecessor.
