The Quartile Take

Don't Let Go is a modestly inventive thriller that blends grief drama with time-travel mechanics via phone calls, giving it a distinctive emotional hook. David Oyelowo anchors the film with a committed performance, and the central conceit is engaging enough to sustain interest. However, the cinematography is fairly generic for the genre—nothing visually distinctive—and the ending struggles to fully capitalize on the emotional and logical potential of its premise, feeling somewhat anticlimactic given the buildup. The plot is serviceable but occasionally tangled in its own time-loop logic without full payoff.
