After finding a host body in investigative reporter Eddie Brock, the alien symbiote must face a new enemy, Carnage, the alter ego of serial killer Cletus Kasady.
Venom: Let There Be Carnage is a broadly entertaining but formulaic superhero sequel. The plot is thin and rushed, leaning heavily on the odd-couple dynamic between Eddie and Venom rather than meaningful story development. Tom Hardy's committed, eccentric performance elevates the material and generates genuine chemistry with himself, which is the film's standout quality. The cinematography is serviceable but generic, with murky action sequences and little visual distinction. As a sequel recycling the symbiote concept with a bigger villain, it offers little novelty beyond the comedic Eddie/Venom relationship. The ending, including the mid-credits scene, feels abrupt and designed purely as a franchise bridge rather than a satisfying conclusion.
