When a San Francisco exec wins a New Zealand inn, she ditches city life to remodel and flip the rustic property with help from a handsome contractor.
Falling Inn Love is a paint-by-numbers romantic comedy that leans heavily on familiar tropes: fish-out-of-water city girl, charming local love interest, renovation hijinks, and an inevitable happy ending. The New Zealand setting provides some visual appeal and the leads (Christina Milian and Adam Demos) have decent chemistry, lifting the acting slightly above average. The cinematography makes pleasant use of the scenic New Zealand countryside but doesn't do anything particularly inventive. The plot is thoroughly predictable, following the rom-com formula without deviation, and the ending resolves exactly as expected with no surprises. Novelty is low as it recycles well-worn genre conventions without a distinctive voice or original angle.
