A fairly standard music documentary following a young pop star's rise to fame. While Mendes is a charismatic subject and the cinematography captures concert energy reasonably well, the film largely follows the familiar tour-doc template without offering particularly deep insight or innovative storytelling. The narrative arc is conventional and the ending doesn't deliver a memorable payoff. Appeals strongly to fans but offers little that distinguishes it from similar artist portrait documentaries.
