Devil's Due is a found-footage horror entry that brings little new to a genre already exhausted by Paranormal Activity and its imitators. The Rosemary's Baby-adjacent premise of a satanic pregnancy is thoroughly derivative, and the found-footage framing feels entirely by-the-numbers. The plot is predictable and under-developed, offering few genuine scares or surprises. Acting is serviceable but unremarkable, and the cinematography is constrained by the gimmick without using it creatively. The ending resolves without meaningful payoff. Novelty is the clearest weak point — this is a formulaic genre exercise with no distinguishing voice or invention.
