Plagued by frightening occurrences in their home, Kelly and Ben learn that a university's parapsychology experiment produced an entity that is now haunting them. The malevolent spirit feeds on fear and torments the couple no matter where they run. Desperate, Kelly and Ben turn to a paranormal researcher, but even with his aid, it may already be too late to save themselves from the terrifying presence.
The Apparition is a deeply generic and forgettable supernatural horror entry. The plot recycles well-worn haunting tropes without any meaningful development or tension-building, offering nothing audiences haven't seen done better elsewhere. The acting from its young cast is serviceable but uninspired, with little character depth to work with. Cinematography is competent but unremarkable, relying on standard horror visual language without distinction. Novelty is very low — the film blends The Entity, Paranormal Activity, and generic ghost-experiment premises into a derivative whole. The ending is particularly weak, failing to deliver any satisfying resolution or memorable payoff, leaving audiences with little reason to have invested in the story.
