Highly intelligent computer major Zoey Miller is uninterested in romantic love, but her life is turned upside down when Zack, the school's soccer star, gets amnesia and mistakes Zoey for his girlfriend.
The Other Zoey is a fairly standard rom-com built on the well-worn amnesia/mistaken identity premise. The plot offers little surprise beyond its genre conventions, hitting predictable beats throughout. The acting is serviceable and carries some charm, particularly from its leads, lifting the film above its formulaic script. Cinematography is functional but unremarkable for a streaming-level production. Novelty is low — amnesia romances are a well-established trope and the execution doesn't distinguish itself meaningfully. The ending resolves things satisfactorily within genre expectations, providing enough warmth to feel earned if not particularly inventive.
