Something from Tiffany's (2022)

Quartile rating: 6.5/10 · 2 ratings

One woman's life is forever changed by an engagement ring meant for someone else.

The Quartile Take

Something from Tiffany's is a pleasant but formulaic holiday rom-com that leans heavily on the classic mix-up premise. The engagement ring swap conceit is charming enough but the plot follows predictable beats with little subversion. Acting is competent and likable across the board, with the leads bringing warmth to underwritten roles. Cinematography makes good use of a romanticized New York City during the holiday season, delivering the glossy aesthetic the genre demands. Novelty is low — the film is squarely by-the-numbers in conception and execution, offering little that distinguishes it from dozens of similar Amazon holiday productions. The ending resolves tidily but without much emotional payoff, feeling rushed and overly convenient rather than earned.
