A young woman takes a trip to romantic Verona, Italy, after a breakup, only to find that the villa she reserved was double-booked, and she'll have to share her vacation with a cynical British man.
Love in the Villa is a formulaic rom-com that leans heavily on the well-worn 'opposites forced together' trope with very little twist or surprise. The Verona setting provides some visual charm and decent location cinematography, but the plot is predictable from the first scene, the performances are serviceable but unremarkable, and the ending follows the genre blueprint without any memorable payoff. Novelty is low given how derivative the premise and execution feel compared to countless similar romantic comedies.
