The tale of a workaholic dad-turned-dog who finds that being man's best friend shows him the most important job - being a great dad.
A formulaic family comedy remake with a recycled body-swap/transformation premise and predictable workaholic-dad redemption arc. Tim Allen goes through the motions, the supporting cast is underused, and the film adds nothing new to the genre. Cinematography is flat and TV-movie quality, and the ending resolves exactly as expected with no surprises. Novelty is genuinely poor given it's a by-the-numbers remake of an already thin concept.
