A former agent of the CIA and his estranged daughter go on the run after his employers target them for assassination.
Erased is a fairly generic CIA-conspiracy thriller that follows well-worn genre conventions: a former operative, a strained parent-child relationship, and a corporate cover-up. The plot offers little that hasn't been seen in countless similar films, and the story beats are predictable. Aaron Eckhart brings some credibility to the lead role, elevating the material slightly above its script, and the European locations provide competent cinematography. The ending resolves things in a routine fashion without any memorable payoff. Overall it's a passable but forgettable mid-budget action thriller.
