An epic story of adventure, starring some of the most magnificent and courageous creatures alive, awaits you in EARTH. Disneynature brings you a remarkable story of three animal families on a journey across our planet – polar bears, elephants and humpback whales.

The Quartile Take

Earth (2007) is a visually stunning nature documentary from Disneynature, repurposed largely from the BBC's Planet Earth series. Its cinematography is genuinely exceptional — sweeping aerial vistas, intimate wildlife moments, and technically remarkable footage across diverse biomes earn it top marks. The narrative structure following polar bears, elephants, and humpback whales gives it decent emotional throughline, though the storytelling is fairly conventional for the genre. Acting is not applicable in a traditional sense, but the narration (James Earl Jones for US version) is competent rather than transformative. Novelty is limited since the film is essentially a theatrical recut of existing BBC content with a Disneynature family-friendly framing — it breaks little new ground conceptually. The ending carries emotional weight around the climate change implications for the polar bear family but doesn't deliver a truly memorable or distinctive conclusion.
