Amidst a sea of litigation, two New York City divorce lawyers find love.
Laws of Attraction is a formulaic romantic comedy that follows a well-worn template of bickering professionals who fall for each other. The Ireland setting adds mild visual interest but the cinematography is unremarkable. Pierce Brosnan and Julianne Moore bring charm and competence to their roles, elevating the material somewhat, but the script offers little that hasn't been seen in countless screwball-lite romcoms. The courtroom rivalry angle is underdeveloped, and the ending resolves predictably without surprise or emotional payoff. A serviceable but largely forgettable entry in the genre.
