Superhero Movie is a late-era spoof film riding the Scary Movie formula at a point when the genre was already exhausted. The plot is a thin parody of Spider-Man with recycled gag structures and little originality. Acting is serviceable but largely comedically broad without standout performances. Cinematography is functional genre-filler with no visual ambition. Novelty is low — the superhero spoof concept wasn't fresh by 2008 and the film adds nothing distinctive to the form. The ending is abrupt and unsatisfying even by spoof-film standards, failing to land a memorable payoff.
