Desperate to keep custody of his daughter, a mixed martial arts fighter abandons a big match and races across Berlin to attend her birthday party.
Sixty Minutes is a competent German action-thriller built around a familiar race-against-the-clock premise. The MMA fighter custody angle adds minor emotional stakes but the plot is thin and derivative of countless similar pursuit films. Acting is serviceable with committed physical performances. The Berlin setting is used reasonably well cinematographically with decent action staging. The novelty is low — the concept is straightforward and the execution largely by-the-numbers despite its brisk pacing. The ending resolves predictably without much surprise.
