Three bachelors find themselves forced to take care of a baby left by one of the guy's girlfriends.
3 Men and a Baby is a charming but fairly formulaic fish-out-of-water comedy. The plot is predictable and thin — three bachelors fumble through infant care — offering little dramatic surprise. The three leads (Tom Selleck, Ted Danson, Steve Guttenberg) deliver warm, likable performances that elevate the lightweight material. Cinematography is workmanlike and unremarkable. Novelty is limited; the premise, while crowd-pleasing, is a remake of a French film and follows a well-worn comedic template. The ending wraps up tidily and satisfyingly enough for the genre, though without any particular ingenuity.
