The ending lands with genuine tragic weight, the star-crossed lovers arc concluding with the kind of melancholic gut-punch the source material is known for. Plot and acting (voice performance) are solid but not exceptional — the romantic tension is well-handled but the pacing can feel compressed in movie format versus a serialized adaptation. Novelty is moderate; while Chainsaw Man's overall aesthetic is distinctive, the Reze Arc follows the established template of the series without dramatically reinventing it, and the tragic romance trope is well-worn even if executed with style.
