The Incredible Burt Wonderstone is a fairly generic comedy built around a predictable redemption arc. The premise of a washed-up Vegas magician vs. a trendy street performer has some charm, and the cast (Carell, Buscemi, Carrey) elevates material that would otherwise fall flat. Carrey's edgy street magician parody is a highlight but isn't enough to lift the formulaic script. Cinematography is serviceable and unremarkable for the genre.
