A student gets his senses enhanced by an experimental drug. But abuse is not an option.

The Quartile Take

Senseless is a mid-tier comedy vehicle for Marlon Wayans that leans heavily on physical gag humor tied to the enhanced-senses concept. The plot is serviceable but thin — a scrambling student in a medical trial, juggling academic and athletic ambitions — and follows a fairly predictable arc. Wayans brings genuine comedic energy and physical commitment that elevates the material above its script, and the supporting cast is competent. The cinematography is functional at best, with no distinctive visual identity. The senses-gone-haywire premise offers some comedic novelty and a few inventive set pieces, though it doesn't fully exploit its sci-fi comedy potential. The ending resolves predictably and without much punch.
