A white blood cell policeman, with the help of a cold pill, must stop a deadly virus from destroying the human they live in, Frank.
Osmosis Jones earns high marks for Novelty with its genuinely inventive premise blending live-action and animation to depict the inner workings of a human body as a city, a concept executed with real wit and specificity. The plot is functional but follows a fairly standard buddy-cop formula once the premise is established. The voice acting and live-action performances (Bill Murray, etc.) are serviceable but unremarkable. The cinematography is decent for its hybrid format but nothing exceptional. The ending feels rushed and relies on familiar action-movie beats without fully capitalizing on the creative world-building established earlier.
