Critters 3 (1991)

As fanged, furious furballs viciously invade an L.A. apartment building and sink their teeth into the low-rent tenants, Josh leads the battle to beat back the conniving critters and save the planet.

The Quartile Take

Critters 3 is a low-budget direct-to-video sequel that largely recycles the formula of its predecessors, transplanting the carnivorous alien furballs from a rural setting to a Los Angeles apartment building. The plot is thin and predictable, the acting serviceable at best (notable mainly as Leonardo DiCaprio's film debut), the cinematography functional but unremarkable, and the ending sets up a sequel without any real payoff. It offers little that distinguishes it from the earlier entries or from the broader creature-feature genre of the era, making it a mostly forgettable franchise extension.
