The Quartile Take

Zeitgeist: Addendum is a conspiracy documentary that weaves together critiques of fractional reserve banking, the Federal Reserve, and corporate imperialism before pivoting to the Venus Project as a utopian solution. Its plot is a loosely structured polemic rather than a coherent narrative, mixing legitimate economic critique with unsupported claims. There is no traditional acting. Cinematography is functional but unremarkable, relying heavily on stock footage, news clips, and talking-head interviews typical of the genre. Novelty is modestly above average for its time — the mashup of monetary theory critique with the techno-utopian Venus Project gave it a distinctive voice in the conspiracy documentary space, even if its arguments are largely derivative of earlier works. The ending, advocating for a resource-based economy, is earnest but abrupt and unconvincing as a practical resolution.
