Being one of 101 takes its toll on Patch, who doesn't feel unique. When he's accidentally left behind on moving day, he meets his idol, Thunderbolt, who enlists him on a publicity campaign.
A direct-to-video Disney sequel that follows a familiar formula: overlooked character seeks identity, gets mixed up with a vain celebrity, learns a lesson about belonging. The Thunderbolt subplot is mildly clever satire of fame-hungry TV heroes, giving the film a slight edge over typical DTV sequels, but the overall execution is formulaic. Animation quality is noticeably below the theatrical original, and the plot resolves predictably. Voice work is competent but unremarkable without the original cast anchoring it. Nothing especially distinctive or memorable about the film's conception or execution.
