Tarzan & Jane is a direct-to-video compilation of TV episodes loosely stitched together into a feature, resulting in a formulaic and derivative experience. The plot is episodic and lightweight with little cohesion. The animation quality is noticeably lower than the original theatrical film. The voice acting is serviceable but unremarkable. There is virtually nothing novel here — it recycles the Tarzan premise in a by-the-numbers sequel format with no distinctive voice or craft. The ending resolves predictably with minimal emotional payoff.
