This French extreme horror-comedy hybrid has a distinctive irreverent tone blending disco-era atmosphere with satanic slasher elements, giving it some novelty within New French Extremism. The cinematography captures the grimy, claustrophobic rural setting with reasonable competence. However, the plot is thin and formulaic even by slasher standards, the acting is serviceable but unremarkable, and the ending fails to deliver a satisfying or memorable payoff.
