Over the course of one evening, an unsuspecting group of twenty-somethings find themselves bombarded by a series of natural disasters and catastrophic events.
Disaster Movie is widely regarded as one of the worst films ever made. The plot is essentially non-existent, stringing together lazy pop-culture parodies with no coherent narrative or comedic payoff. The acting is uniformly poor, with performers delivering flat, desperate performances. Cinematography is functional at best but unremarkable. Novelty is extremely low — it is a formulaic, by-the-numbers spoof film recycling the same exhausted formula from Friedberg and Seltzer's prior efforts like Epic Movie and Meet the Spartans, offering nothing distinctive. The ending, like the rest of the film, is incoherent and unsatisfying.
