Malcolm and Kisha move into their dream home, but soon learn a demon also resides there. When Kisha becomes possessed, Malcolm - determined to keep his sex life on track - turns to a priest, a psychic, and a team of ghost-busters for help in this spoof of all the "found-footage/documentary style" films released in recent years.
A Haunted House is a fairly by-the-numbers found-footage horror parody in the vein of Scary Movie, targeting Paranormal Activity and similar films. The plot is thin and exists mainly as a vehicle for crude gags. The acting is serviceable but broad and sketch-like. The cinematography mimics the shaky-cam found-footage style by design, offering little visual interest beyond its parodic intent. While the specific focus on found-footage horror gives it a slight angle, the spoof genre itself was well-worn by 2013 and the execution is formulaic. The ending wraps up predictably with little payoff. Across the board, a middling effort that delivers some laughs for fans of crude humor but breaks no new ground.
