When a college girl who is alone on campus over the Thanksgiving break is targeted by a group of outcasts, she must conquer her deepest fears to outwit them and fight back.
Kristy is a competent but formulaic slasher-thriller that leans heavily on familiar cat-and-mouse tropes set on a deserted campus. The plot follows a well-worn template with minimal subversion, and the antagonists' motivations (targeting women named 'Kristy' as symbols of privilege) add a thin ideological veneer without much depth. Acting is serviceable, particularly from the lead, and the cinematography makes decent use of the isolated campus setting for atmosphere. The ending delivers a reasonably satisfying payoff without doing anything groundbreaking. Overall a watchable but derivative entry in the genre.
