The behind-the-scenes access provides genuine intimacy and emotional moments, and her charisma carries the film well. However, the format follows well-worn music documentary conventions — the rise to stardom narrative, tour stress, creative process glimpses — without distinguishing itself cinematographically or structurally. Acting is not really applicable in a meaningful way for a documentary subject performing themselves. The ending wraps up satisfyingly but predictably. A solid fan documentary that doesn't transcend the genre.
